Dear Friends, I had prepared an income tax combined calculator for FY 2007-08 and 2008-09 which is uploaded on the following cites. The file is compatible with MS Excel 2002 and later versions. The creation aimed to help the needy. The calculator gives an idea about income tax on salary and it's planning. There are validation and auto checks set at various cell levels with informative tips. I hope this will serve the purpose of tax computation for the salaried individuals. Every care taken to minimize the errors

Taj and Trident reopen, put the past behind

Three weeks after the 62-hour gun battle, the Taj Towers reopened on the Sunday the 21st December 2008 as a symbol of Mumbai's resilience and grit. People from all walks of life were there to help it get back on its feet. All the 541 heroes of the carnage at the Taj hotel - employees, who worked tirelessly when terror struck their hotel, were welcomed to a standing ovation when the Taj opened its gates. "Message we want to give is that we can be hurt but not knocked down. The old Taj will stand again for the next 100 years as it has for the past 100 years," said Ratan Tata, chairman, Tata group. The message is quite clear from the man himself, less than a month after terror came knocking and killed 31 people. And while the guest list was impressive, it was also a time for many to recall what they were trying hard to forget.

Defending Parliament on Dec 13, 2001 Forgotten stories?

CRPF personnel, Head Constable 1st YB Thapa, 2nd constable D. Santosh Kumar, 3rd Sukhvinder Singh and 4th Shyambir Singh, have been awarded Shaurya Chakra for exhibiting exemplary courage while countering and gunning down the terrorists. Besides being given the Shaurya Chakra, CRPF constable D Santosh Kumar, who killed three out of the five Pakistani terrorists in Parliament House on December 13, 2002, was elevated to the post of head constable. The other CRPF constables Shyambir Singh and constable Sukhwinder Singh and Y B Thapa, who shot the remaining two terrorists.

CRPF Constable Kamlesh Kumari who has been awarded Ashok Chakra posthumously: In 2001 the CRPF jawans averted a major disaster when they repulsed a terror attack on the Parliament. In exchange of fire between the CRPF and the terrorists, all the five militants were eliminated. Mahila Constable Kamlesh Kumari of the CRPF made the supreme sacrifice at the call of duty. The unarmed Kamlesh did not leave the place of duty and alerted others around her about the militants’ movement. In recognition of her exceptional courage and bravery, she was presented the nation’s highest peacetime award ‘Ashok Chakra’ by the President of India on the occasion of Republic Day-2002.

आतंकी से भिड़ गया बनारसी बाबू -forgotten stories ?

जब मुंबई के सीएसटी रेलवे स्टेशन पर आतंकियों ने खूनी खेल शुरू किया, तब जिल्लू यादव वहीं तैनात थे। बनारस के मूल निवासी जिल्लू आरपीएफ में हेड कांस्टेबल हैं। उनके हाथ में सिर्फ एक डंडा था। आतंकी एके 47 से अंधाधुंध गोलियां बरसा रहे थे। टिकट काउंटर के अहाते के पास खड़े जिल्लू यह दृश्य देख एक बार तो दहल उठे। लेकिन जल्दी ही संभल भी गए। जिल्लू उस पल को याद करते हुए कहते हैं- डर तो मुझे भी लगा था, लेकिन तुरंत मन ने कहा कि यदि इन आतंकियों को रोका नहीं गया तो ये बहुत लोगों को मार डालेंगे। लेकिन जिल्लू करते भी तो क्या। आरपीएफ के पास हथियार की कमी के कारण इस बहादुर सिपाही के हाथ में सिर्फ एक डंडा था। गलियारे के दूसरे छोर पर खड़े जीआरपी के एक सिपाही के हाथ में 303 राइफल तो थी, लेकिन डर के मारे उसके हाथ-पैर फूल गए थे। जिल्लू ने चिल्ला कर उससे गोली चलाने को कहा, लेकिन निशाना साधने के बजाय वह छुपने का रास्ता खोजने लगा। तब जिल्लू से नहीं रहा गया। वह जान जोखिम में डाल कर करीब 10 फुट चौड़ा गलियारा पार कर खुद उस सिपाही के पास जा पहुंचे और उसके हाथ से बंदूक झपट कर एक आतंकी पर निशाना साधकर दनादन दो फायर झोंक दिए। बंदूक में गोलियां समाप्त हो चुकी थीं। जबकि आतंकी फायरिंग का रुख उनकी ओर कर चुके थे। जिल्लू ने पहले तो इधर-उधर दूसरी बंदूक या कारतूस के लिए तलाश की, लेकिन कुछ हाथ नहीं लगा तो सीधे वहां रखी एक कुर्सी उठा कर अपनी ओर बढ़ रहे एक आतंकी पर दे मारी। उसके दिमाग में तो बस यही था कि वह जिनकी जान की फिक्र कर रहे हैं, वे सब इंसान हैं। इस बीच, जिल्लू की हिम्मत देख स्टेशन पर तैनात जीआरपी व आरपीएफ के अन्य जवानों में भी जोश आ गया और दोतरफा गोलियां चलने लगीं। आरपीएफ इंस्पेक्टर खिरतकर और सब इंस्पेक्टर भोसले ने एक छोर से तो जीआरपी के दो जवानों ने दूसरे छोर से मोर्चा संभाल लिया था। जिल्लू की इस बहादुरी के लिए उन्हें रेलवे की तरफ से 10 लाख इनाम देने की घोषणा हुई है। इस पर उनकी प्रतिक्रिया पूछने पर जिल्लू सीधा सा जवाब देते हैं- उस वक्त मैंने जो भी किया, वह समय की जरूरत थी ।

52 वर्षीय जिल्लू यादव उत्तर प्रदेश के बनारस जिले में हरहुआं ब्लाक स्थित गोसाईंपुर मोहाब गांव के मूल निवासी हैं। उनकी शिक्षा-दीक्षा मुंबई में ही हुई। अब परिवार के साथ डोंबीवली में बस गए हैं, लेकिन बड़ा बेटा गांव में ही रह कर जीवन बीमा एजेंट के रूप में काम करता है। बाकी दोनों बेटे साथ रहते हैं। एक दुकान चलाता है, दूसरा बारहवीं में पढ़ रहा है।

शहीद तुकाराम के फौलादी सीने से टकरा कर आतंकियों के नापाक इरादे भी चूर-चूर हो गए। शहीद तुकाराम ओम्बाले ने आतंकियों से लोहा लेते हुए अपनी जान दे दी। डी बी पुलिस स्टेशन में हेड कांस्टेबल तुकाराम उस टीम के सदस्य थे जिसने गिरगांव चौपाटी पर आतंकियों से मुकाबला किया और एक खतरनाक आतंकी को ढेर करते हुए एक को धर दबोचा। जैसे ही पुलिस को आतंकवादियों की हाईजैक की हुई स्कोडा कार के गिरगांव चौपाटी की ओर आने की सूचना मिली, डी बी पुलिस स्टेशन की टीम ने रास्ते की नाकेबंदी कर दी। एस पी तानाजी घाडगे का कहना है कि हमको कंट्रोल रूम से सूचना मिली की गिरगांव चौपाटी से हाइजैक की हुई गाड़ी आ रही है। हमने हमारा बंदोबस्त चौपाटी पर लगा दिया था। जैसे ही आतंकियों की गाड़ी दिखी, पुलिस ने चेतावनी देते हुए नीचे उतरने को कहा लेकिन आतंकवादियों ने गोलियां चलानी शुरू कर दीं। उसी समय तुकाराम ओम्बले इन आतंकवादियों पर झपट पड़े। एक आतंकवादी की बंदूक से चली पांच गोलियां उनकी छाती को छलनी कर गईं। लेकिन तुकाराम ने गोली लगने की परवाह न करते हुए आतंकी को पकड़ लिया। तुकाराम को गोली लगते देख पुलिस के बाकी साथियों ने हौसला दिखाया और उस आतंकी को धर दबोचा। पुलिसवाले तुकाराम की इस वीरता को सलाम करते हैं। वो मान रहे हैं कि अगर तुकाराम ने वीरता न दिखाई होती तो आतंकवादी जिन्दा नहीं पकड़ा जाता। PSI भास्कर कदम का कहना है कि जब आतंकवादियों ने गोलीबारी की तो ओम्बले ने सामने आकर उसे झपट लिया। जिससे आतंकवादियों की पांच गोलियां उनके सीने में जा धसीं। अगर वे नहीं होते तो ये गोलियां किसी और पुलिस वालों को लगतीं और इस आतंकवादी को जिन्दा पकड़ पाना मुमकिन नहीं होता।
