Friends; I take the opportunity to communicate that - I have worked and created the excel based measurement and unit conversion utility. The utility convert the values almost 10808 ways between Metric, UK, US, Imperial with South Asia’s regional units like Bigha, Bissa, Kattha, Dhur, Anakanam, Dismil, Kanal, Marla, Ropani, Sarsahi, Kila, Ghumao, Perch, Gunta and Cents which commonly followed in land area measurements in south Asian continent.

The calculations are set on the exact basis which useful for the specifications, tolerances and technical requirements of the measuring devices. You may find lots of such converter over the net but I claim this is an unique and more accurate utility. Hope this will be useful occasionally one or other way.

Happy Independence Day

Happy Independence day!

In the environment of growing corruption practices, are not getting faded the mean of celebration of the Independence day? at least me. Indian media lost their credibility after Radia tape exposure, after observing the evil nexus of the so-called unbiased media personalities in Radia tapes. People used to blame the politicians to buy votes from poor & illiterates to get in power. But forgot here, how the media affects and change the mind set of the literates, they create environments by airing managed surveys and writing favored editorial and columns for their paying favorites. By doing this act- they hijack the mind set of literate people. The majority literates’ source of knowledge is media dependent and readers seldom analyze the situation behind. I feel this is the heinous act in democracy for changing the mindset of educated community by the Indian media. After Radia tapes exposure, I prefer to watch DD News rather private news channels. The media e.g. BBC, The Telegraph, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journals in Europe and America are maintaining high degree of confidence in the minds of their readers since decades, when it becomes with the Indian Media ? will it remain dream for us in India ?

I am pleased to upload herewith the “Income Tax calculator FY2011-12 cum NSC Interest calculator” which is more helpful to salaried individuals. The file is compatible with Excel 2002 and later version. I invite your feedback and comments for the improvement of this calc.

In the calc, there are cell level validation checks and information set to understand the various IT terms so that one can get idea of IT computation. If you find difficult to open the file then you can set the excel macro security level to Medium or Low i.e. at Excel > Tools > Security (tab) > macro security (tab) > Security Level (Select medium or low).
